When the HOT SHOT LO was reintroduced a few seasons ago, its look was modernized and brought up to date. With its mesh base, the varsity version of the classic basketball performance silhouette is ready for the preppy look.
Leather overlays on the side and under the eyestay are complemented by butter-soft suede overlays on the mudguard, forefoot and quarter heel.
The quick lacing system and the double eyelets at the top are a nice take on the OG version that first appeared in our catalogs around 1988. The tongue with the KangaROOS secret pocket on the inside and the inner lining are made of mesh. The outsole is made of abrasion-resistant rubber, which ensures a good grip and pleasant durability.
This great retro basketball sneaker is rounded off with a little extra. Where you would normally find ROOS lettering on the side panel, this version of the Hot Shot features a small window showing a US flag instead of company branding. A beautiful woven KangaROOS tongue label and an additional pair of laces in a matching color round off this KangaROOS HOT SHOT LO VARSITY.
Our sustainability features: The leather comes from tanneries with LWG Gold certification, the nubuck leather with LWG Silver certification. The removable footbed is made from 95% recycled plastic and fitted with a 100% recycled polyester insole; the mesh of the upper, the inner lining and the laces are also made from recycled polyester. The outsole is made of rubber with 30% recycled content.
