dynacoil

DYNACOIL is a system for shock absorption and energy recovery that is built into the soles of many KangaROOS Originals and Made in Germany models. The basic material was developed by NASA and used for shock absorption in the astronauts' boots during the Apollo flights. DYNACOIL is a woven fabric with five coils of elastic, interlocking nylon threads. It is very light, incredibly strong and returns to its original shape after every impact.

KangaROOS, NASA Aerospace Research and renowned researchers in the fields of orthopedics and biomechanics have reconstructed and further developed the wrapped fabric for use in sports shoes since1986. The fabric is filled with soft polyurethane foam and embedded in the midsole in the inner part. The load on the ankle, knee, hip and spine is greatly reduced, while the muscles in the feet, legs, buttocks and back are activated, which improves posture and allows fatigue-free walking and good walking dynamics.
